THEY GAVE THEIR LIVES TO WAKE US UP!

Following the ruthless massacre of innocent children and their teachers at a School in Peshawar, Pakistan I posted my facebook profile picture saying “We are Sorry”. I mean it.

We are sorry as individuals, organizations, communities and a nation for having let down our future generations. These students were the brightest light of our country aiming to become doctors, lawyers or soldiers to protect their nation….the same nation that has let them down. What will this nation say to the hundreds of parents who won’t be able to kiss their kids, hold them and cherish them? What will the nation say to the mothers who have lost their heart and soul? No platitudes will bring back the kids.

We are sorry because we are to blame for allowing our faith to be replaced by an evil barbaric ideology that has no respect for human life.

We are sorry because our Masjids, organizations and institutions were asleep when for years this monster has been growing within us. It was spawned within and has only grown because we did not have the courage to stand up and shut up those who were promoting hate. We allowed the extremists and terrorists to speak for us.

We are sorry because Pakistan calls itself an Islamic country and but no one has the gall to ask them which Islam are they following? Is this the Islam in which killing one person is like killing all of humanity? Is this the Islam in which compassion, mercy and justice are top of the list? Obviously not. So where is the push back?

We are sorry because we are unable to articulate that Pakistan is in a hopeless situation. The Government is corrupt; the elite have assets overseas and just don’t care. It’s the masses struggling to make a living and educate their children who are caught in this battle and have no options. Who can they turn to? In desperation they are turning to us – the Global communities – not for sympathy but to prove that while having won a land where Muslims could live in peace they have lost.
Most of all we are sorry because we have sunk to a depth so low that we still look for conspiracy theories, we still look at others to blame when we only have to look at ourselves and ask some hard questions about how we got here and where we are going.

If we don’t wake up now, we are doomed because religiosity is not the answer – humanity is. And the souls of 130 angels are waiting for us to find justice for their bloody massacre on the darkest day of our lives December 16, 2014 – a day that will never be forgotten.
We are sorry.

    Ms. Raheel,

You said: “We are sorry because our Masjids, organizations and institutions were asleep when for years this monster has been growing within us

I do not think you are truly sorry, Ms. Raheel

Although I am a Christian, I am from Pakistan too. I too mourn for the tragic death of the children and their teachers. But I do need to remind you that this incident is definitely NOT the first time Muslims killing school children

10 years ago, in 2004, 385 Russian school children and their teachers in Beslan, were mercilessly slaughtered by Muslims. The number of death at Beslan were 3 times that of Peshawar incident

So let me ask you, Ms. Raheel, were you feeling sorry 10 years ago?

Did you feel hurt when 385 innocent Russian children were brutally slaughtered?

Or were you like most of the Pakistani Muslims, never gave a damn, all because those 300+ children were not Muslims?

You are saying that you are sorry because your mosques were asleep? Really?

Remember the Red Mosque, yes, that “Lal Masjid” ?

That mosque is far from being asleep. Ms. Raheel. It precisely that kind of mosques which have been used to spread vicious hatreds, encouraging violence, and so on, all in the name of Allah !

I was wrong about you, Ms. Raheel. I thought you were different, but you are just like them

When the Muslims killed non-Muslims, it’s okay. When the two Pakistani Christians were burned to death inside the kiln, hey, you didn’t say anything, or did you?

You are only “sorry” this time because the children who were murdered by the Taliban were Muslims. If they were Christians or Buddhists or Hindus, that “sorry” would never have come out of your mouth

    Typical Pakistani Muslim !

    Greetings Reheel Raza
I am sorry for the loss of those defenseless students and teachers also.
Also, I respect and admire you for all the “good things” that you have accomplished for those who have needed your help.
I have seen your special presentation on Sun News and I have recently seen you on Fox News.
Every day throughout the Islamic world, Christians pay for their Faith in Jesus Christ:
    • by being hunted and killed in their own neighborhoods, homes, churches and schools
    • and having their daughters kidnapped,
    • their churches and businesses are bombed and burned
    • they are being falsely accused and thrown in prison
    • being refused the right to assemble and pray
    • personal property and Christian literature confiscated…….
Honestly, the only way to stop these waves of this Islamic Extremism is for Born-Again Christians continue to pray to our Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus Christ (Yeshua ha Mashiach), and to continue preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Souls throughout the Muslim World are accepting the Testimony that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD, and that HE died so that we could be forgiven for all of our sins.
Islam will never deliver Islam from this evil extremism that has risen up from within.
Why ? Because the Quran itself denies (4:157) that Jesus Christ died for the sins of mankind and that after being in the grave for 3 days and nights, rose from the grave and became Lord of All…….forevermore!
Dear Reheel, the Holy Bible gives us hope in the middle of this Islamic extremism. Listen to what Apostle Paul (a former religious extremist) testifies: “…although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent (religiously violent) man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the Grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, of who I am chief!” (1 Timothy 1:13-15)
    Perspective
Jesus sees things differently than we see things……Because HE is the Beginning and the End……..”Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your Saints in Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call upon Your Name.” But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My Name before Gentiles, kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My Name’s sake.”
Jesus doesn’t want to bomb and destroy so many of these misguided Islamic youth who have been taught all of their lives to hate unbelievers and apostates. HE wants the Church of Christian believers to pray for them so that they will hear the call for Salvation and live a life serving the One True GOD and Saviour.
Reheel, the Islamic world will change like I have said, and many more will come to understand, even the words of the Apostle John which were written down more than 500 years before Muhammad and his army of followers began their world conquest……..We know that we are of GOD, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. And we know that the Son of GOD has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is True; and we are in Him who is True, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True GOD and Eternal Life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1 John 5:19-21)

    Grace and Peace to you,

    David Nostwold
